TB thrives in locked classrooms

We investigate the high risk of TB in schools in the Grahamstown township.
With TB on the rise around South Africa, a Grahamstown campaign “Open Your Windows to Prevent TB” caught the attention of a school just next door to the Temba TB Hospital. But there is a problem. The windows in the Nathaniel Nyaluza school are wired shut to keep vandals out - so defeating the logic of the TB deterrent.
